Position Overview:

The Planning Engineer develops, maintains, and monitors the project schedule on site, tracking EPC contractor progress, identifying schedule risks and variances, and providing timely reporting inputs to support the Project Manager and Project Controls Lead in ensuring on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the master project schedule in Primavera P6 in coordination with the Project Controls Lead.
  • Monitor and report EPC contractor progress against the approved baseline schedule on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Conduct schedule variance analysis and critical path assessments to identify delays and recommend mitigation.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports with S-curve analysis and look-ahead schedule updates.
  • Review and assess EPC contractor recovery plans, acceleration programs, and revised schedules.
  • Participate in site progress meetings and document all schedule-related discussions.
  • Track and report key project milestones, including site mobilization, civil completion, electrical completion, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with the Document Controller to maintain records of all schedule submittals and revisions.
  • Support the Project Manager in preparing schedule-related contractual correspondence.
  • Maintain and update the project risk register with schedule risk inputs.
  • Assist in the preparation of time impact analyses and extension of time (EOT) assessments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum 7 years of planning and scheduling experience on construction or power projects.
  • Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 (required) and MS Project.
  • Experience in PMC or Owner's Engineer planning roles on renewable energy projects is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent report writing.
