Planning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer with a strong background in joinery and interior fit-out projects in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of joinery works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed project schedules for joinery and fit-out works using planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Develop baseline programs, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource-loaded schedules
• Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly
• Coordinate with production, design, procurement, and site teams
• Track materials, manpower, and fabrication timelines for joinery works
• Identify delays, risks, and critical path activities, and propose recovery plans
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules
• Ensure alignment with project deadlines and client requirements
• Review subcontractor schedules and performance
• Support project managers in planning and execution strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE, specifically in joinery or interior fit-out projects
• Strong knowledge of joinery production processes (factory & site installation)
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
• Good understanding of UAE construction standards and project workflows
• Strong analytical, coordination, and reporting skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality fit-out projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings and shop drawings
• Knowledge of procurement and supply chain in joinery works
