Planning Engineer

Are you an experienced Planning Engineer with a strong background in the Construction, Contracting, Aluminium, Glass or Façade industry?

Do you have a proven ability to deliver high-quality projects, engineering or operational excellence while working with multidisciplinary teams?

Our client is a leading UAE-based specialist in architectural aluminium, glass, façade engineering and metal fabrication solutions with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility delivering landmark projects across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the project master schedule, baseline, and revisions.

Issue weekly/monthly progress updates and highlight delays or slippage.

Coordinate with project engineers, production supervisors, and site supervisors to align sequences.

Monitor shop drawing submissions, approvals, and procurement lead times.

Develop manpower and resource histograms for factory and site crews.

Prepare recovery schedules and mitigation plans when milestones are at risk.

Attend progress meetings and present schedule status to the project manager and client.

Ensure schedules allow realistic durations for safe execution.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills

Bachelor's Degree in in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in the in façade, glazing, cladding, aluminium joinery, or building envelope projects.

Experience with both fabrication shop and site installation planning is preferred.

Primavera P6 and/or MS Project for baseline, updated, and recovery schedules.

Critical Path Method (CPM) and float analysis.

Fabrication sequencing: extrusion cutting, CNC, surface treatment, assembly, and glazing.

Site installation sequ encing: anchoring, framing, glass fixing, and sealing floor-by-floor.

Long-lead material procurement: aluminium extrusions, special glass, imported hardware.

Shop drawing approval cycles and sample/mock-up timelines.

Lookahead planning (3-week, 6-week) linked to material availability and labour.

Interface with main contractor’s master programme and milestone dates.

Progress tracking: percent complete, man-hour curves, S-curves, and earned value.Job Details

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
