Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Senior Planning Engineer to join our project controls team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules from commencement to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical grasp of construction sequencing and a minimum of 8 years of experience navigating the specific demands of the UAE construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, in line with full EPC scope, contract requirements, scheduling specifications, BOQ, site conditions, and construction methodologies.
  • Prepare and manage baseline schedules and all related documentation, including schedule narratives, assumptions, constraints, risk analysis, critical path identification, cash flow projections, and resource histograms.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of planners to establish, update, and control project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and milestones.
  • Analyze schedule updates and progress reports to identify variances, delays, and risks, and recommend preventive and corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
  • Develop, manage, and control internal and external project reporting, including Primavera P6, ERP systems, Oracle reports, KPIs, cash flow forecasts, earned value analysis (EVA), extension of time (EOT), and claims preparation.
  • Prepare high-level executive presentations, dashboards, and reports for senior management, including the Project Manager, Head of Planning & Controlling, and Country Manager.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project managers on planning, scheduling, and overall project control aspects.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, support personnel development, and contribute to the professional growth of assigned planning team members.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Attestation required for visa processing).
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of UAE experience in a construction company.
  • Software: Expert-level proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and MS Excel. Familiarity with RIB Candy or Power BI is a plus.
  • Local Knowledge: Understanding of UAE construction standards, local authority approval timelines (DM/Trakhees/DMT), and FIDIC contract conditions.
  • Communication: Excellent reporting skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
