Planning Engineer

Job Summary: The Planning Engineer is responsible for managing the project programme, Primavera schedule, progress measurement, recovery plans, weekly reports, and delay tracking for Project C34 – The Bay Residence. The role involves identifying critical path risks early, ensuring seamless integration with procurement, and delivering accurate progress dashboards to project leadership and consultants.

Job Responsibilities:

• Programme & Schedule Management
• Prepare and dynamically update the Primavera P6 baseline programme.
• Develop 4-week and 8-week lookahead schedules to optimize daily site execution.
• Integrate procurement tracking for long-lead items directly into the master project schedule.
• Progress Tracking & Reporting
• Track actual progress against planned benchmarks, compiling weekly dashboards and S-curves.
• Prepare and submit clear, comprehensive progress reports for company management and the consultant.
• Maintain highly accurate records and data to back up all project reporting.
• Risk Mitigation & Recovery Plans
• Proactively identify delays and critical path risks, issuing early-warning notices to the project team.
• Devise and implement effective recovery and acceleration programmes when progress falls behind schedule.
• Maintain detailed, evidentiary delay records and support documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: 5–8 years of construction planning experience is required.
• Project Track Record: Proven experience working on high-rise building projects is mandatory.
• Technical Skills: Exceptional, expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Reporting Capability: Strong data analytics, dashboard visualization, and S-curve preparation skills.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, strong organization, and the ability to work under fast-track project pressure.
• Location Asset: UAE experience is preferred; familiarity with Abu Dhabi/Yas Island project dynamics is a distinct advantage.
