Planning Manager

The Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing production planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management to ensure optimal product availability and operational efficiency. This role plays a critical part in aligning supply chain activities with business objectives, minimizing costs, and supporting customer satisfaction within Seara’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Demand & Supply Planning

• Develop and manage accurate demand forecasts using historical data and market trends
• Align supply plans with production capacity and business targets
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to balance demand and supply

2. Production Planning

• Create and optimize production schedules to meet customer demand
• Ensure efficient utilization of manufacturing resources
• Monitor production performance and adjust plans as needed

3. Inventory Management

• Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking
• Implement inventory control strategies and monitor KPIs
• Coordinate with warehouses and distribution centers

4. S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning)

• Lead or support monthly S&OP processes
• Prepare reports and insights for executive decision-making
• Ensure cross-functional alignment across departments

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service level, inventory turnover, and waste
• Analyze variances and implement corrective actions
• Provide regular planning reports to senior management

6. Process Improvement

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Enhance planning systems, tools, and processes
• Drive digital transformation in planning (ERP/APO systems)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field, Master’s degree is a plus

Experience: 5–8+ years of experience in supply chain & production planning, preferably in FMCG or food production.
