Key Responsibilities Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain the master project schedule using Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software.
- Prepare baseline schedules, detailed work programs, resource-loaded schedules, and cash flow forecasts.
- Establish project milestones, critical paths, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure all schedules comply with contract requirements and project objectives.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management, clients, and consultants.
- Analyze schedule performance and provide recommendations to improve productivity and project delivery.
- Track actual progress and update schedules regularly.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and consultants to gather project data.
- Participate in progress meetings and present schedule updates and recovery plans.
- Ensure effective communication between all project stakeholders regarding project timelines.
Risk Management
- Identify schedule risks, constraints, and potential impacts on project completion.
- Develop mitigation measures and recovery programs to address delays.
- Conduct delay analysis and evaluate extension of time (EOT) claims when required.
Resource & Cost Planning
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material planning activities.
- Review resource allocation and productivity rates.
- Support project controls and cost management teams in forecasting and performance analysis.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate planning records, reports, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Support audits and management reviews related to planning and project controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in construction planning and project controls.
- Extensive experience on large-scale construction, infrastructure, commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, scheduling techniques, and construction methodologies.
