RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Transportation Planning and Design
- Develop the transportation plan for the LRT system in alignment with contractual obligations, passenger demand, legal requirements, and operational constraints using specialized scheduling software.
- Ensure train schedules are designed with consideration of:
o the service contract with NAT (National Authority for Tunnels).
o Interface plan with CAC regarding rolling stock availability.
o Passenger demand and ridership patterns.
o Planned non-operational periods for maintenance activities.
Resource Optimization
- Plan and optimize the LRT driver shift schedules while ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal company regulations.
- Balance operational efficiency with employee well-being through effective allocation of human resources.
Workforce Scheduling and Coordination
- Create and maintain shift schedules for whole LRT staff (Operations, Customer Services and Maintenance).
- Coordinate closely with department managers to ensure alignment between workforce planning and operational needs on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Communication Engineering.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Strong ability to define medium- and long-term operational strategies for railway lines.
- Skilled in drafting operational rules, procedures, and training documentation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 - 5 years of professional experience, preferably within the railway industry.
