Job Title: Planning & Systems Manager (Oil & Gas Domain)

Location: Muscat, Oman (Onsite)

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to provide project controls management, including baseline schedule development coordination and management, performance status and reporting, histogram management, CMR programme, readiness report, baseline change control, EOT claims, delay notifications, risk management, earned value management guidance and tools.
• Responsible to direct the project planning team planning leads & planning engineers reporting to him and extend controls on cost engineers, QS etc on the application of effective planning techniques and controls (earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, critical path analysis).
• Responsible to implement Systems related to Project Management, internal & external dashboards to communicate cost and schedule performance to teams in real time. Responsible to implement a standardized suite of cost and schedule reports that enable senior management to make data driven decisions
• Responsible for the development of integrated master schedules for specific programs in EPPM and/or Primavera P6 that reflect all interface milestones and activity durations from multiple contractors’ schedules and feed changes to the integrated master schedule
• Responsible to monitor all programmes control tools and measure its compliance in respect of the project’s contractual obligations
• Responsible to perform trend analysis and actively evaluate project cost and schedule performance to identify potential risk areas, validate forecasts, and communicate those quickly to key stakeholders.
• Responsible to carry out a project risk assessment with key stakeholders to identify, mitigate project risks and lead the cost and schedule contingency management process for assigned projects. Accordingly capture the same in the schedule from time to time.
• Responsible for all individual and certain Division specific productivity targets, financial objectives, KPIs and attainment thereof.

Required:

• A proven work experience as a Planning Manager within the Oil & Gas Business in a similar organization.
• A proven work experience in ERP or any equivalent system implementation in Project Management.
• Strong writing and record keeping abilities. Strong IT skills and software skills (EPPM, Primavera P6, etc).
• Strong communication, planning & organizing skills.
• Exceptional leadership skills.
• Ability to lead and transform the assigned projects.
• Ability to garner Management support and confidence.

Educational Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in the field of engineering (Mechanical preferred)
