Plant Civil Designer

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer with experience in industrial facilities and heavy civil projects to support the design, development, and construction of our metal recycling plant infrastructure. The Civil Designer will be responsible for creating detailed 2D/3D models, preparing construction drawings, and supporting engineering teams in developing site layouts, foundations, grading plans, drainage, and utility systems. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong collaboration with engineers, project managers, and construction supervisors to ensure designs are accurate, efficient, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare detailed civil design drawings, layouts, and 3D models for site infrastructure, foundations, drainage, and utilities.
• Support engineering teams with Civil 3D modeling for site layouts, grading, drainage, and foundations.
• Produce construction drawings, material take-offs, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical designers/engineers to integrate civil designs.
• Provide design support during construction, including revisions, clarifications, and field adjustments.
• Assist with site surveys, as-built drawings, and documentation control.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure schedules and project goals are met.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, and surfaces).
• Strong knowledge of site development, foundations, drainage, and utility systems.
• Ability to prepare civil drawings, construction documents, and technical details.
• Understanding of civil codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary project team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in industrial, heavy civil, or recycling/processing facilities is preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
