Senior Civil Designer - Waste/Storm Water

Job Description: Project Engineer - Senior Civil Design Engineer - Waste/Storm Water

Our Valhalla, NY office is currently looking for a Senior Civil Design Engineer to work primarily on Civil engineering projects in the Westchester County area.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with 6-10 years' experience on primarily municipal civil engineering design projects involving stormwater, sanitary sewage, water distribution, roadway design and site design. Experience with permitting and dealing with local government agencies such as Health Department, NYCDEP, NYSDEC, ACOE, NYSDOT is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a must, hydraulic and hydrologic software experience such as HydroCAD, SWMM, HEC-RAS is important as well as any sanitary sewer or water main modelling.
• Experience with municipal site plan review is a plus.
• NYS Professional Engineering license is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of preliminary through final design processes including municipal bidding process, award and construction administration duties.
• The Senior Design Engineer will be expected to generate plans, details engineering reports, review shop drawings, process payment estimates, compile change orders, coordinate material testing, and process contractual correspondence.
• Prepare various permit applications and supporting reports/documentation
• In addition to individual design effort on specific projects this individual has a responsibility for coordination with clients both private and municipal, as well as company administrative, mechanical, structural and civil personnel.
• This position reports directly to the Project Manager or Principal Engineer on site.
