Plant Controller

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Plant Controller to lead the financial management and accounting functions of our manufacturing facility. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, ensuring the plant’s financial health aligns with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections while maintaining compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify accuracy of financial data and identify discrepancies for prompt resolution.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, budget forecasts, and regulatory filings in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements.
• Lead cash management activities by monitoring cash flow, optimizing working capital, and coordinating banking relationships.
• Ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards.
• Support internal audits and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical accounting concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits.

Experience

• Proven experience in corporate within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong background in financial report writing, account reconciliation, and regulatory reporting processes.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance standards as well as IFRS and GAAP frameworks is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and cash flow analysis.
• Solid understanding of budgeting techniques, forecasting methods, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Excellent analytical skills combined with a keen eye for detail; ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
• Strong communication skills for preparing comprehensive reports and collaborating effectively across departments. Pay: $81,440.23 - $98,078.55 per year
