As the Site Head, you will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end operations at a chemical manufacturing site, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production of chemical intermediates. This is a senior leadership role where you will oversee all departmental heads and take full ownership of site performance, including production, quality, safety, engineering, and compliance. The role demands strong experience in continuous manufacturing, operational excellence, and people leadership, with a focus on driving efficiency, reliability, and sustainable growth while maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead overall site operations for chemical intermediate manufacturing with full accountability for performance

Oversee continuous manufacturing processes and ensure smooth, uninterrupted production

Ensure day-to-day operations meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets

Implement robust process controls, operational best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives

Drive yield improvement, cost optimization, and productivity enhancement across the plant

Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, regulatory, and customer quality requirements

Maintain high standards of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) across the site

Ensure adherence to statutory regulations related to pollution control, factory laws, and safety norms

Lead safety audits, risk assessments, mock drills, and incident prevention programs

Manage and mentor department heads across production, maintenance, quality, utilities, and support functions

Conduct manpower planning, performance management, and capability development initiatives

Coordinate with corporate leadership on capital expenditure, expansions, and new project execution

Oversee installation, commissioning, and modification of plant facilities and equipment

Ensure reliability and optimal performance of utilities, machinery, and plant assets
What Makes You a Great Fit

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (BE / B.Tech)

Strong experience leading site-level operations in hazardous chemical manufacturing environments

Mandatory hands-on experience with continuous manufacturing processes

Proven leadership experience managing large, cross-functional plant teams

Deep understanding of process safety, EHS standards, and statutory compliance

Experience implementing operational excellence and best practices in chemical manufacturing

Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
