Lychee is the leading player in the rapidly growing healthy food industry in Egypt, with a unique and highly scalable position in the market that combines a healthy fast- food retail arm and a manufacturing arm for healthy packaged foods. Most notably fresh juices and Greek yogurt.

As part of our greater mission to make healthier food choices accessible and sustainable for people's everyday lifestyle - we're extending our commitment to the region with our entry into the Saudi Arabian market, with a substantial retail expansion plan and on-ground operations starting Q2, 2025 in Riyadh.

Lychee relies on both its manufacturing capabilities and brand recognition built over a decade to expand its retail operations seamlessly based on customer demand and to scale its existing presence in modern trade, traditional trade and quick commerce.

What will you be doing?

• Oversee daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and SHE compliance to ensure seamless manufacturing processes.
• Managing manufacturing units of Central Kitchen, Greek Yogurt, Fresh Juice, Natural Juice, and Peanut Butter through team leadership and ensure smooth operations across each unit.
• Develop and manage plant budgets, control operational costs, and oversee capital expenditure (CapEx) projects to drive long-term efficiency and profitability.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and best practices to enhance productivity, reduce inefficiencies, and streamline processes.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and quality regulations (HACCP, ISO, GMP) while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product standards.
• Drive capacity expansion projects, support new product development, and implement process innovations to align with the company’s long-term growth strategy.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a results-driven team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning to drive operational success.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential operational disruptions, including equipment failures, supply chain bottlenecks, and workforce challenges.
• Drive sustainability initiatives by reducing waste, improving energy efficiency, and implementing environmentally responsible practices in plant operations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze plant performance metrics, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.
• Support new product launches, capacity expansion projects, and process innovations in alignment with the company’s strategic growth plans.
• Act as the primary liaison between the plant and corporate leadership, ensuring operational alignment with business objectives.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or relevant field; Preferably, MBA or post graduate degree holder
• Minimum of 15 years of work experience including +3 years in senior leadership role within FMCG industry
• Proven experience in budget management, cost control, and capital expenditure (CapEx) projects
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization methodologies
• Ability to drive operational efficiency, productivity improvements, and business growth
• Experience in implementing risk mitigation strategies
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
