Plant Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall planning, construction, and startup of the manufacturing facility in the U.S.
• Lead daily plant operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and compliance with local regulations.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), production schedules, and quality control systems.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality assurance, EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety), and logistics.
• Manage plant budgets, cost controls, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
• Recruit, train, and develop plant personnel to build a high-performing local team.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Drive optimization of production yield, throughput, and equipment utilization.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, and supply chain teams to support new product introduction and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in chemical process manufacturing, preferably in lithium battery materials, cathode/anode production, or similar industries.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 2 years in a leadership or plant management role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, process control, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Familiar with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management in industrial settings.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and lead both local and international teams.
• Experience with plant startup or greenfield project preferred.
• Bilingual (English & Mandarin Chinese)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
