Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of production management, and expertise in supply chain and process improvement methodologies. This role is integral to maintaining operational excellence, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing production planning, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and optimizing overall plant performance using ERP systems such as SAP and MRP tools.

Duties

  • Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production goals while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Develop and execute production plans aligned with company objectives, utilizing ERP systems like SAP and MRP for accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing practices, process optimization, and waste reduction strategies.
  • Oversee supply chain management and logistics to ensure timely procurement of materials and delivery of finished products.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality control, productivity, and operational costs; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and assembly staff; foster a culture of safety, accountability, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments including engineering, quality assurance, and procurement to enhance overall plant efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
  • Utilize supply chain analytics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment; familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control processes.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimization techniques.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and assembly processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality control and process improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in supply chain analytics to inform decision-making.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $155,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
