The Plant Manager oversees the daily operations of Refreshed Tech’s processing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient functioning of all operational areas — including electronic device processing, repair, shipping/receiving, and value-add services.
The Plant Manager will work closely with department leads, the executive team, and external partners to maintain high standards of performance, quality, and compliance while driving process improvements and operational excellence.
This role ensures operational excellence through data-driven decision making, disciplined leadership, and continuous improvement. The Plant Manager will build high-performing teams, improve process flow, and ensure that every product leaving the plant meets RefreshedTech’s stringent quality, cost, and turnaround standards.
Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
Manage the full refurbishing lifecycle: inbound receiving, grading, diagnostics, repair/refurbish, cosmetic refinishing, QA, and outbound fulfillment.
Oversee daily production planning and scheduling to meet order fulfillment targets, using real-time dashboards and ERP metrics Ensure production operations align with quality standards and customer requirements: continuously improve product quality, reduce defects, minimize re-work. 
Coordinate with maintenance/engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability, preventive & predictive maintenance programs are effective (especially critical in high-volume electronics refurbishing). 
Manage capital and operational budgets for the plant, control expenditure and explore cost-reduction/efficiency improvement opportunities. 
Ensure inventory control, supply chain alignment, material flow, and that department leads are working to minimize delays or bottlenecks. 
Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing operations team: supervisors, technicians, warehouse staff. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, continuous improvement and lean thinking. 
Develop and enforce SOPs, standard work, and ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, ESD, environmental) and sustainability practices are embedded.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, yield rate, cycle times, labor productivity, rejects/returns, safety incidents. Use data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement. 
Partner with IT/Data teams to leverage ERP, IoT/testing station data, automation and continuous improvement initiatives (reflecting our advanced systems).
Drive change management: lead Lean / Kaizen / Six Sigma initiatives to improve cost, quality and throughput.
Maintain excellent stakeholder relationships (internal: supply chain, procurement, quality; external: vendors/customers) and act as the face of the facility in operational matters.

The Plant Manager will be accountable for measurable outcomes including, but not limited to:
Throughput efficiency (units refurbished per shift/hours)
Yield-rate (percentage of units passing QA first-time)
Cycle time (average hours from intake to ship-ready)
Labor productivity (output per technician)
Cost per unit / cost reduction vs budget
Re-work / return rate (units needing reprocessing or rejected by customers)
Safety incidents / near-miss rate
On-time shipping fulfillment and customer SLA compliance
Required Education and Qualifications:
Technical familiarity with manufacturing/refurbishing environments (electric-, electronics, reverse-logistics) is a strong differentiator.
Experience: Proven management experience within operations, logistics, and production environments of at least 7 years, previous experience working in a high tech environment preferred.
Industry knowledge on electronics repair,IOS and Chrome operating systems, installation of updates, data merge and transfers, and wiping units for reset required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; ERP system experience preferred.
