Location: Georgia, USA (Greater Atlanta Area, TBD) 5-day onsite
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead the setup and day-to-day operations of a new assembly manufacturing facility focused on electric bikes, ATVs, and golf carts. This role will be responsible for end-to-end plant operations, including production, quality, supply chain coordination, workforce management, and continuous improvement. The plant location will be in Georgia, most likely within the Greater Atlanta area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and operation of an assembly manufacturing plant for e-bikes, ATVs, and/or golf carts, from early-stage setup through stable mass production
- Own overall plant performance, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity (SQDCP)
- Manage production planning, assembly lines, staffing, and daily manufacturing execution to meet output and quality targets
- Build and lead cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and warehouse functions
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and lean manufacturing practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in efficiency, yield, cost reduction, and operational excellence
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and local/state regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth material flow
- Oversee equipment selection, line layout, tooling, and capacity planning for assembly operations
- Partner with headquarters and leadership team on budgeting, KPIs, and long-term manufacturing strategy
Qualifications
- 8+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, with at least 3–5 years in a Plant Manager or Senior Operations role
- Hands-on experience in assembly-based manufacturing environments (e.g., e-bikes, motorcycles, powersports, golf carts, automotive, or related electromechanical products)
- Proven experience ramping a new plant or production line from setup to volume production
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and shop-floor management
- Experience managing hourly workforce, supervisors, and technical staff in a factory setting
- Solid knowledge of quality systems, safety standards, and production KPIs
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, startup or growth-stage manufacturing environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in EV, powersports, or light vehicle assembly operations
- Familiarity with U.S.-based manufacturing regulations and labor practices
- Experience working with overseas supply chains or imported components
- Background in scaling operations or supporting rapid production growth
