Plant Supervisor

The Plant Supervisor will ensure all plant equipment, facilities, and surrounding areas are well-maintained, clean and operational to support daily production and dispatch activities.

This role also includes managing labour accommodation and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Core Responsibilities

Health & Safety

• Lead by example and promote a strong safety culture across the plant.
• Ensure compliance with PPE, safe work systems, and company HSE policies.
• Conduct routine inspections and report near misses, hazards, and incidents.
• Oversee daily production and equipment readiness.
• Coordinate with Shipping, Technical, and Workshop teams for smooth operations.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure adherence to company quality standards.

Raw Materials & Logistics

• Manage raw material stock, ordering, and consumption accuracy.
• Ensure efficient inventory control and accurate record-keeping.

Quality & Maintenance

• Ensure mix design specifications and production of high-quality concrete.
• Liaise with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective actions.

People Management

• Supervise and train plant staff.
• Manage attendance, performance appraisals, and on-job coaching.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and company code of conduct.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
• 5-8 years of experience in ReadyMix concrete or related plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of batching systems (e.g., BCMIX, SAP interface).
• Excellent understanding of HSE procedures and compliance requirements.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
