Plant Support Engineer

Job Description

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. this means the successful candidate to report to the GM office full time.

The Role:

Ensure flawless productivity & launches of current/new local parts to achieve quality standards with development of local supplier’s quality to meet the global standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure GM safety culture is properly communicated to suppliers’ representatives and handled inspectors.

  • Timely problem solving for plant issues impacted by local parts.

  • Timely communication of local quality issues to concerned SQEs and suppliers.

  • In plant containment and segregation for local issues.

  • Rear Floor Assembly area supervision.

  • Communication focal point between SQ team and plant.

  • Participation in rejection committees and ensuring timely rejected parts collection

  • Achieve flawless production with no impact from local parts’ quality on direct run or downtime.

  • Manage Suppliers thru SPPS system (Supplier Practical Problem Solving) / SQMS (Supplier Quality Management System), SCMS (Supplier certification Management system)

  • Generate /Implement continuous improvement ideas in plant or at local Suppliers.

  • Ensure Supplier Global APQP Process (# 17 tasks – GM1927) compliance.

  • Ensure Supplier Global Launch Process (# 13 tasks – GM1927) compliance.

  • Ensure new Program Flawless Launch Execution (PPV, MVBns, MVBs, SORP, STC).

  • Perform structured problem solving (Red X) certification.

  • Continue to improve Supplier Relations.

Your Skills & Abilities ( Required Qualification )

Educational and Experience Background:

  • B.Sc. of Engineering.

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the quality / manufacturing field

Skills:
