Plasterer/Scuptor

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer/sculptor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering and or traditional sculpture and related crafts/activities. This role involves the use of traditional sculpting and plastering techniques such as running/turning moldings, mold-making, casting, finishing, installation, applying plaster, stucco, and other materials to walls and ceilings, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets project specifications. The plasterer will work closely with other artists and technicians at our studio to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Duties

• Apply plaster, stucco, and other finishing materials to walls and ceilings.
• Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, smoothing, and applying bonding agents.
• Mix plaster and other materials according to specifications.
• Run moldings, make molds, etc.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements.
• Collaborate with team members on renovation and restoration projects.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct repairs on existing plaster surfaces to restore integrity.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

• Proficiency in plastering techniques with experience in decorative plaster applications.
• Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
• Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
