Plastic Fabricator

Plastics Fabricator for family owned business in San Leandro, Ca. Must have experience solvent bonding (gluing) acrylic or similar plastics like polycarbonate and ABS, also be able to read drawings and understand three dimensional concepts. Must also be able to bend plastics on strip heater, and also flame polish clear plastic edges or be able to learn how . We will teach certain techniques but experience in any of the techniques above will help attaining the job. We do mainly custom work but production jobs as well. We are a manufacturing company specializing in all kinds of plastics. That part of the business we can teach.

Experience prefered but we can train if you have the aptitude and are a fast learner. Good dexterity with your hands and enjoying working with them is a must. Experience in a field where you had similar tasks to what we do would be helpful. Gluing plastics is similar to "model making" and if you have done that kind of work it would help in this job. You have to be punctual and reliable and able to work well with our fabrication team and also take on projects yourself once trained from beginning to completion.

A high school diploma or GED is required for this job.

Hours are 8:30-5 M-F. Those hours can be somewhat flexible once you are trained and have passed the three month initial employment period.
