Job Title: Platform & DevOps Engineer (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)

Hours: Full time (40-hours per week)

Location: Remote work (Ideal candidate will be based in Hyderabad, we intend to open an office in Hyderabad later in the year which will become the office base.)

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform & DevOps Engineer to own, build, and maintain our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform, with a strong focus on security, automation, and deployment lifecycle management.

This role is responsible for designing and maintaining the OCI security model, federated access control, and infrastructure automation using Terraform. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with OCI IAM, networking, and DevOps tooling, and will play a critical role in enabling secure, scalable, and repeatable cloud deployments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Own and maintain the OCI security model, including IAM policies, compartments, groups, dynamic groups, and federated identity access.
• Design and implement federated access control (e.g., enterprise identity providers) across OCI environments.
• Build, manage, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform (mandatory).
• Design and manage OCI networking, including VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, and network security groups (NSGs).
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using OCI DevOps Service.
• Automate the deployment lifecycle for infrastructure and application platforms.
• Manage and support ORDS and APEX deployments, including environment promotion and configuration.
• Enforce security best practices, least-privilege access, and compliance standards across OCI.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, availability, and cost.
• Collaborate with application, integration, and security teams to enable secure cloud adoption.
• Maintain documentation for architecture, security policies, and automation frameworks.

Experience required:

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Deep expertise in OCI IAM, including:
• Compartments and tenancy design
• Policies, groups, dynamic groups
• Federated identity and access management
• Terraform expertise (mandatory), including:
• OCI provider
• Modular Terraform design
• State management and environment separation
• Strong experience with OCI Networking, including VCNs, subnets, security lists, NSGs, gateways, and routing.
• Hands-on experience with OCI DevOps Service for build and deployment pipelines.
• Experience deploying and managing ORDS and Oracle APEX in OCI.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles, access control, and compliance.

Preferred qualifications:

• OCI certifications (e.g., OCI Architect, DevOps Professional).
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with container platforms (OKE) and Kubernetes.
• Experience with secrets management and key management services.
• Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
