Own the uptime of complex manufacturing systems by delivering expert electrical maintenance and controls support on the 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Execute preventive maintenance (inspect, clean, repair, calibrate) to prevent failures.
- Safely conduct equipment start-up/shutdown to meet production needs.
- Visually inspect, test, and troubleshoot advanced electrical equipment and machinery.
- Dismantle and replace faulty electrical parts; reassemble and verify operation.
- Perform complex layouts, installs, testing, and adjustments on fixtures, wiring, panels, and breakers.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial control systems, instrumentation, and power distribution equipment.
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain documentation for PLC systems.
- Review work orders; partner with operators to isolate and resolve issues.
- Read, interpret, and revise manuals, schematics, diagrams, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Apply electrical theory, NEC, and trade codes in daily work.
- Respond to arc flash incidents to ensure safety and reduce further risk.
- Lead safety improvements—introduce initiatives, rules, and processes.
- Mentor junior electricians/technicians on best practices and safety.
- Promote and comply with all company safety procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
- 2nd Shift: 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm
- 3rd Shift: 10:30 pm – 6:30 am
- High School diploma (or equivalent); typically 4–6 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical theory, NEC, and arc flash safety.
- Demonstrated skill in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair, including panels, fixtures, and power systems.
- Industrial controls expertise; proficiency with instrumentation and power distribution.
- PLC fluency—programming, debugging, and disciplined documentation.
- Ability to read/interpret/revise schematics, diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
- Experience with inspections, complex layouts, and overseeing repairs or system upgrades.
- Proven safety leadership with incident response capability; promotes safe work practices.
- Mentorship mindset; collaborates and develops junior team members.
- Bonus proficiency: pneumatics troubleshooting and broader maintenance skills.
