Job Title: Plumber

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Installation of Plumbing Systems
• Install pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets, water heaters, pumps).
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications for plumbing layouts.
• Carry out installation of domestic water, drainage, and vent piping systems.
• Maintenance and Repair
• Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Identify and repair leaks, clogged drains, and broken pipes or fittings.
• Replace worn-out parts and plumbing components as required.
• Testing and Inspection
• Test plumbing systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Inspect installed systems to ensure compliance with specifications and building codes.
• Diagnose problems with water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.
• Work with Different Materials
• Cut, bend, and assemble pipes made of PVC, copper, steel, PPR, and other materials.
• Use appropriate joining techniques: soldering, threading, gluing, etc.
• Drainage and Sanitary Systems
• Install and maintain drainage systems, traps, and venting systems.
• Clear blockages using tools like drain snakes and hydro jets.
• Water Supply Systems
• Install and maintain hot and cold water supply systems.
• Set up pumps, tanks, and booster systems as per specifications.
• Firefighting Plumbing (if applicable)
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of firefighting pipe systems (sprinklers, hydrants, etc.) under supervision.
• Reporting
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Report major issues or equipment needs to the supervisor promptly.
• Teamwork and Coordination
• Coordinate with electricians, HVAC technicians, and civil teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Support emergency repair activities as needed.
