Plumber

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license.

Experience: Experience in Plumbing; certification preferred.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Plumber: Advanced plumbing skills to install, diagnose, repair and maintain water, gas, air and drain pipes/lines of the buildings and grounds within the school corporation. Install and repair faucets, sinks, water closets, drinking fountains and coolers, water heaters, etc., as needed. Open clogged drains and traps.

• Serve as substitutes for day custodians who are ill.
• Maintain buildings and grounds for the safety and welfare of everyone.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Maintenance Foreman, the Supervisor of Custodial and Maintenance Services and Director of Facilities.

• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills in order to relate to students, parents, staff, administrators, and community. Ability to negotiate effective working relationships, and develop position resolutions to conflict.
• Strong organization skills in order to manage multiple issues simultaneously combined with ability to effectively prioritize.
• Ability to work independently and within a team while maintaining cooperative working relationships.
