Title: Plumbing & Drainage Engineer – MEP

Job Summary:

The Plumbing & Drainage Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, coordination, and supervision of all plumbing and drainage works for MEP projects. The role ensures that systems are delivered to specification, on time, and in compliance with local codes, health and safety regulations, and project quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review detailed plumbing and drainage designs, shop drawings, schematics, and material submittals.
• Supervise and coordinate installation of water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, and irrigation systems.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority regulations, and applicable standards.
• Review IFC drawings and BOQs and identify discrepancies or design issues.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and other MEP teams to resolve site conflicts and ensure smooth execution.
• Inspect ongoing site works to ensure workmanship quality and adherence to approved drawings.
• Prepare method statements, inspection requests, and as-built documentation.
• Monitor materials and manpower to ensure work progress as per schedule.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and local authorities for inspections and approvals.
• Ensure implementation of safety and quality procedures on site.
• Participate in testing and commissioning of plumbing and drainage systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum [X] years of experience in plumbing and drainage works for large-scale MEP projects (residential, commercial, or infrastructure).
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, and relevant codes (e.g., IPC, UPC, local authority standards).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• UAE/GCC experience and knowledge of authority submission procedures is an advantage.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Experience in design & build MEP projects.
• Familiarity with LEED or sustainable building practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
