Plumbing and Heating Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical experience with various tools, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant will contribute to ensuring our clients' heating systems operate safely and effectively, providing essential comfort and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair a wide range of heating systems including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance.
• Troubleshoot faults using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing tools to complete installations and repairs.
• Perform basic carpentry tasks related to system installation or modification.
• Lift heavy components safely during installation or repair work.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals accurately.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during site operations.
• Assist with the assembly of heating units or related equipment as required.

Skills

• Proven experience with welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly work.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to heating systems and associated components.
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs.
• Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
• Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights when necessary.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
