Plumbing Design & Drafting Engineer

A Plumbing Design & Drafting Engineer designs, develops, and drafts efficient building plumbing systems (water, drainage, fire suppression) using CAD/BIM software, ensuring code compliance, collaborating with architects/engineers, creating technical drawings, performing calculations (pipe sizing, flow), and supporting construction with site visits and documentation. The role blends engineering design with detailed drafting to produce accurate blueprints for installation, focusing on functionality, safety, and code adherence. Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Create designs for water supply, drainage, sanitary, and fire suppression systems.
• CAD/BIM: Produce detailed technical drawings, layouts, and models using software like AutoCAD, Revit.
• Calculations: Perform pipe sizing, flow rate, and pressure drop calculations.
• Coordination: Work with architects, structural, and other engineers to integrate plumbing with the overall building design.
• Code Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local, national building codes, and industry standards.
• Documentation: Prepare specifications, technical reports, and review submittals/shop drawings.
• Site Support: Conduct site visits for verification, problem-solving, and overseeing installation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Software: Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Revit) and BIM.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and system principles.
• Skills: Analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, teamwork.
• Experience: Previous experience in plumbing design or drafting.

Pay: ₹12,792.37 - ₹65,734.95 per month
