Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Draftsman to join our MEP team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing detailed plumbing shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for commercial, residential, hospitality, and industrial projects in the UAE. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and possess a strong understanding of plumbing and drainage systems in accordance with UAE standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed plumbing and drainage shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop layouts for domestic water supply, drainage, stormwater, sewage, irrigation, and hot & cold water systems.
• Prepare coordination drawings, builders' work drawings, sleeve drawings, riser diagrams, and installation details.
• Coordinate plumbing drawings with HVAC, electrical, fire fighting, architectural, and structural disciplines.
• Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site requirements, and design changes.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, local authority regulations, and company drafting standards.
• Prepare material take-offs and assist the project team with technical documentation.
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce accurate as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Support Project Engineers and Site Engineers during construction by providing technical drafting assistance.

Requirements

• Diploma or Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of total experience as a Plumbing Draftsman.
• Minimum 2–3 years of UAE experience with MEP or plumbing contracting companies.
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD (Mandatory)
• Revit MEP (Preferred)
• Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of:
• Domestic Water Supply Systems
• Drainage & Sewerage Systems
• Stormwater Systems
• Irrigation Systems
• Hot & Cold Water Distribution
• Pump Rooms and Water Storage Systems
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations and standards, including Dubai Municipality, DEWA, DCD, SEWA, FEWA, and ADDC, is an advantage.
• Good understanding of shop drawings, coordination drawings, and construction documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on commercial, residential, high-rise, hotel, healthcare, and industrial projects.
• Familiarity with MEP coordination and BIM workflows.
• Ability to interpret plumbing design drawings and specifications accurately.
• Knowledge of quantity take-offs and material estimation is an added advantage.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
