Plumbing Engineer

Our company requires a Plumbing Engineer who designs, plans, and oversees plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Ensure systems for water supply, drainage, sanitation, and sometimes gas are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, waste, and vent systems
• Prepare plumbing drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
• Calculate water demand, pipe sizing, pressure, and flow rates
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, and contractors
• Review and approve plumbing plans and shop drawings
• Supervise installation and testing of plumbing systems on-site
• Identify and resolve design or installation issues
• Estimate project costs and materials
• Conduct inspections and system performance evaluations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Plumbing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Relevant professional certification or license (as required by local regulations)
• Knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Experience

• Mid-level: 3–5 years in plumbing system design or construction
• Senior-level: 5+ years with project leadership experience
