GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
At Stancil Services, quality plumbing is the foundation of every successful project. The Plumbing Foreman provides leadership and technical expertise across all phases of residential plumbing construction, ensuring all work meets Stancil’s high standards for accuracy, code compliance, safety, and craftsmanship.
This position oversees daily plumbing operations, coordinates installation activities, supports inspections, and leads crew members while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive jobsite. The Plumbing Foreman plays a critical role in field coordination and supports the development of junior team members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Oversee plumbing installation activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with plans, codes, and company standards.

Interpret construction drawings, diagrams, and layout plans; provide clear installation guidance to crew members.

Lead the layout and installation of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, waste, and vent piping.

Verify measurements, elevations, slopes, and routing to ensure code compliance and proper system performance.

Coordinate inspections and ensure plumbing systems are prepared for approval at required stages.

Perform advanced plumbing duties independently while delegating tasks to team members.

Identify conflicts with other trades and coordinate solutions in the field.

Maintain accurate material counts and communicate upcoming needs to supervisors.

Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe throughout the project.

Conduct pressure testing, leak checks, and system verifications.

Provide progress updates to site management.

Train junior team members in layout, measurement, tool use, safety best practices, and installation standards.

Protect customer property and maintain professionalism on all job sites.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

High school diploma or equivalent (GED, college, technical, or trade school transcript, or foreign equivalent).

Plumbing experience preferred, with demonstrated field installation expertise.

Strong understanding of plumbing codes, system design principles, routing requirements, and inspection processes.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and layout markings.

Proficient with plumbing hand and power tools.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Valid driver’s license for 3+ years and insurable on company policy.

Must be able to successfully complete a physical examination and maintain a valid DOT medical card.

Physical strength and stamina needed for fieldwork in varying environmental conditions.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

Work is performed on active construction job sites.

Exposure to heat above 90°F, cold below 32°F, humidity, dust, moisture, and outdoor weather elements.

Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and repetitive lifting.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 75+ pounds.

Work may occur in crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, or elevated areas.

Noise levels range from moderate to loud.

Requires the use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

Hand tools: pipe cutters, pliers, crimp tools, wrenches, tape measures, levels, utility knives.

Power tools: drills, impacts, saws, compact threaders (with proper training).

Jobsite tools: lasers, measuring devices, ladders, and specialty plumbing equipment.

PPE: hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, boots, hearing protection, high-visibility vest.

Company-issued technology as required (tablet, phone, communication tools).
