PLUMBING FOREMAN (MEP)

Job Summary:

The Plumbing Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all plumbing and drainage installation works on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, Qatar regulations, and safety standards. The role involves managing manpower, materials, and daily site activities to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise all plumbing and drainage works.
• Execute works as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate daily activities of plumbers, helpers, and subcontractors.
• Plan manpower deployment to meet project schedules and targets.

Drainage Works

• Supervise installation of underground and above-ground drainage systems.
• Ensure correct slope, alignment, pipe sizing, and connections for drainage lines.
• Monitor manhole, inspection chamber, and grease trap installations.
• Coordinate drainage tie-ins with external networks as per authority requirements.

Quality Control

• Conduct inspections and testing (water tests, leak tests, flow tests).
• Report and rectify defects or non-conformities promptly.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce HSE policies and ensure safe working practices at site.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with site engineers, civil works, MEP teams, and consultants.
• Report daily progress, manpower, and material requirements to the supervisor.
• Assist in material requisitions and inventory control.

Qualifications & Experience:

• ITI / Diploma in Plumbing or relevant technical qualification.
• 5–10 years of experience in plumbing works, with strong drainage systems experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Plumbing Foreman in Qatar or GCC.
• Experience in residential, commercial, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of plumbing and drainage systems (uPVC, HDPE, cast iron, PPR).
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and layouts.
• Familiarity with underground services and coordination with civil works.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and inspection procedures.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Valid Qatar driving license is an advantage.
