Plumbing – MEP Site Engineer

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise all on-site plumbing and drainage works, including installation of water supply lines, drainage systems, manholes, pumps, water tanks, and sanitary fixtures.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Allocate work to plumbing foremen and technicians, and monitor daily performance and productivity.
• Ensure proper installation of PPR, HDPE, UPVC, copper, and GI pipes with correct support systems.

2. Coordination with Other Services

• Coordinate closely with civil, HVAC, electrical, and firefighting teams to prevent service clashes.
• Resolve site-level technical issues and discrepancies by consulting with senior engineers and raising RFIs if needed.
• Attend daily coordination and progress meetings with main contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.

3. Material & Resource Management

• Ensure availability and proper use of approved materials on-site, including valves, pipe fittings, pumps, sanitary ware, and accessories.
• Track daily material consumption and forecast future needs.
• Coordinate with procurement/logistics for timely material delivery and storage on-site.

4. Quality Assurance & Inspection

• Conduct routine quality checks on plumbing installations and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
• Raise WIRs (Work Inspection Requests) and arrange inspections with consultants and quality engineers.
• Rectify snag points issued during inspections and ensure proper documentation.

5. Testing & Commissioning

• Plan and supervise pressure testing for water supply lines and gravity testing for drainage systems.
• Coordinate with the commissioning team for system flushing, disinfection, and final testing.
• Ensure preparation and submission of test reports, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.

6. Compliance & Regulations

• Ensure all installations comply with local authorities’ regulations (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, DCD, etc.).
• Assist in preparing and submitting documents for authority approvals when required.

7. Safety & Risk Management

• Enforce site safety protocols during plumbing works, particularly in shaft areas and confined spaces.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure the use of PPE by plumbing teams.

8. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site activity logs, manpower reports, and material delivery records.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and submit updates to the project management team.
• Maintain updated shop drawings, red-marked drawings, and site inspection logs.

9. Client & Consultant Liaison

• Coordinate with consultants and client representatives for inspection approvals, mock-up reviews, and handovers.
• Address concerns and comments raised during inspections and take corrective actions as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
