Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Service Plumber to join our growing service team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial facilities. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience working in active commercial environments, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship and professional customer service. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, initiative, communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing time effectively. Participation in after-hours or on-call rotations is required. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Essential Responsibilities/Functions:
In general, the principal responsibilities of the Service Plumber at COAC include, but are not limited to the following:

Complete all tasks in accordance with local codes and regulations.

Apply your technical, mechanical, and people skills to assigned tasks and learn the skills required to increasingly broaden the scope of your capabilities.

Take responsibility for each job/task assigned to you, including motivating other company personnel. Assure that all functions, including the following, are properly completed:
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues in commercial buildings, including leaks, clogs, fixtures, piping systems, and drainage systems

Service and install tanked and tankless water heaters

Perform troubleshooting, service, and maintenance on hydronic systems
-
Perform drain cleaning and jetting services as needed
-
Identify potential plumbing issues and communicate clearly with customers regarding recommended repairs

Maintain accurate service documentation, job notes, and material usage

Maintain company vehicle and equipment in a professional and organized manner

Participate in on-call rotation

All work is performed and completed correctly.

All paperwork is completed properly and submitted as required.

The job site is organized, safe, and clean.
Required Education/Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of commercial plumbing service experience

The ability to safely operate a company motor vehicle as evidenced by past driving records.

Ability to diagnose and repair complex plumbing issues in commercial environments

Knowledge and experience with domestic water heaters, boilers, pumps, hydronic systems, tanked and tankless water heaters, drain jetting equipment, and various piping materials used in domestic plumbing systems.

Backflow Certification is a plus.
