PMC HSE Manager

Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC HSE Manager for one of our key clients in Abu Dhabi for a downstream project as part of the HSE engineering team. The position will be based full-time at the client office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and will require business trips to South Korea.

Responsibilities

• Participate in vendor meetings
• Produce and review specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations to ensure compliance with engineering quality, competence, and project management systems
• Coordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up
• Attend client meetings and communicate issues with the lead engineer as required
• Interact with team members in a positive and professional manner at all times
• Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline-specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement
• Participate in internal audits
• Maintain own competence in accordance with standards and pursue continuous professional development
• Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislative changes, initiatives, and industry technology developments

Qualifications

• BEng in Chemical Engineering
• Experience in Concept / FEED / Detailed Design project phases
• Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience
• Experience in methanol projects
