Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced PMCM Construction Manager with expertise in Utility Diversion to oversee and manage the relocation and coordination of utility infrastructure for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility management, construction processes, and stakeholder coordination. This role requires exceptional leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage complex utility-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all utility diversion activities, including relocation, protection, and modification of utility systems (e.g., water, electricity, telecommunications, and sewer).

  • Ensure utility work aligns with the overall project schedule and budget.

  • Act as the primary liaison between utility companies, contractors, and project stakeholders.

  • Facilitate approvals, permits, and agreements with utility providers and regulatory agencies.

  • Develop utility diversion strategies and integrate them into the overall construction plan.

  • Review and approve utility design drawings, specifications, and work plans.

  • Identify potential conflicts or risks related to utility infrastructure and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Resolve utility-related issues promptly to avoid project delays.

  • Ensure all utility diversion activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and enforce safety protocols.

  • Manage utility diversion budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost control.

  • Monitor progress against the project schedule and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of utility agreements, permits, and as-built documentation.

  • Provide regular progress reports to project leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in construction management,

  • Strong knowledge of utility systems, construction processes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Familiarity with utility agreements, permitting processes, and coordination with utility providers.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and CAD tools.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
