PMHNP Fellowship Training and Associate Appointment in Advanced Psychiatric Practice

Nashville Brain Institute (NBI) is seeking motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs), including new graduates, for a 12-month Advanced Interventional Psychiatry Fellowship, followed by an Associate employment position upon successful completion.

This fellowship is designed to bridge the gap between PMHNP education and real-world psychiatric practice through immersive training in new psychiatric technologies, advanced diagnostic testing, and interventional treatment modalities that are often unavailable in traditional programs.

Qualifications
Current or pending PMHNP certification

  • Eligibility for state licensure
  • Strong interest in interventional psychiatry, neurotechnology, and advanced diagnostics
  • Willingness to commit to a 2-year training-to-associate pathway
  • Openness to learning evidence-based, technology-enhanced psychiatric care models

  • Competitive Stipend:Earn a starting annual stipend of $74,880 in first year, with an increase to $140,400 in Associate position after the 12 month fellowship training.

  • Education and Research Development:Engage in research projects and dedicate four hours weekly to didactic teaching and scholarly activities, culminating in a presentation at a leading neuropsychiatric conference.

Program Structure:

  • Initial Training (Months 1-2):Train under the supervision of Dr. Tang across NBI clinics, mastering foundational skills in patient evaluation, testing, and treatment planning.
  • Intermediate Phase (Months 3-6):Manage up to 10 patients daily, applying advanced evidence-based neuropsychiatric treatment methods.
  • Advanced Phase (Months 7-12):Oversee up to 15 patients daily, honing your personal approach and administrative competencies in various clinical settings.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • A profound commitment to interventional psychiatric treatment and a holistic approach to care.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in IV infusion treatments.

Locations:Train across four Nashville Brain Institute locations in the Greater Nashville area: Nashville, Hermitage, Brentwood, and Goodlettsville.
