Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team in Garner, NC, as we expand our person-centered practice. We are seeking a dedicated Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) who is passionate about delivering compassionate, holistic mental health services.

In this role, you won’t just manage symptoms—you will foster resilience and recovery. You will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals across diverse populations, collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team that values innovation, clinical excellence, and the human connection at the heart of healthcare.

Duties

  • Comprehensive Care: Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and diagnostic evaluations, to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with a focus on safety, efficacy, and patient education.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and behavioral health strategies tailored to each patient’s unique journey.
  • Collaborative Practice: Work closely with a team of clinicians to ensure seamless care.
  • Modern Delivery: Utilize efficient EMR systems and HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms to reach patients where they are.
  • Advocacy & Education: Empower patients and their families by providing clear education on mental health conditions, lifestyle modifications, and community resources.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: * PMHNP: Current RN licensure and Board Certification as a PMHNP.
  • PA: Current PA licensure with specialized experience or certification in Psychiatry.
  • Clinical Expertise: Proven experience in behavioral health settings. Exposure to acute care, emergency rooms, or crisis intervention is a plus.
  • Pharmacology: Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and medication administration.
  • Adaptability: Experience working with diverse populations, including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks) for meticulous and efficient documentation.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit are essential for our person-centered model.
