PMO - Project Management Officer

Position: Project Management Officer (PMO)

We are seeking a highly structured and governance-oriented professional to support the establishment and strengthening of the Project Management Office (PMO) framework across IT and technology-driven initiatives.

The incumbent will assist in implementing standardized project governance practices, ensuring effective risk management, stakeholder alignment, cost control, and compliance with organizational standards.

This role requires technical project exposure, preferably within digital platforms, enterprise IT systems, or payment/financial technology environments.

Key Responsibilities

PMO Governance & Framework Support

  • Assist in implementing standardized project management frameworks (policies, SOPs, templates, approval matrices).
  • Support development of project classification criteria for prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Ensure defined roles, responsibilities, and governance structures are documented for each project.
  • Assist in aligning projects with organizational strategy and regulatory requirements.

Project Planning & Control

  • Support development and maintenance of formal project charters, plans, BRDs, RFPs, and related documentation.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, scope, and resource utilization.
  • Track KPIs and maintain updated project dashboards for management review.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to minimize schedule slippages and cost overruns.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Maintain centralized project issue logs and risk registers.
  • Track mitigation actions and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Assist in conducting project-specific risk assessments.
  • Escalate critical risks and unresolved issues to management in a timely manner.

Stakeholder & Compliance Coordination

  • Ensure involvement of key stakeholders during planning, execution, and approval stages.
  • Facilitate structured communication between IT, Operations, Compliance, and external vendors.
  • Support post-implementation reviews and documentation closure.
  • Ensure documentation integrity and audit readiness of project records.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in PMO, IT project coordination, or technology-driven environments.
  • Basic understanding of SDLC, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Trello, or similar).
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Certification in project management (CAPM or equivalent) will be considered an advantage.
