Leads the development and enforcement of project management standards, quality assurance practices, and governance frameworks across technology driven and digitally enabled initiatives. Ensures consistent delivery excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement of PMO operations, tools, and AI enabled project management capabilities within complex IT, engineering, and product development environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, implement, and maintain PMO governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with technology, software development, and engineering delivery models (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
- Conduct regular quality reviews and audits of project documentation, technical deliverables, system artifacts, and delivery processes.
- Monitor compliance with internal standards, SDLC/PDLC guidelines, data governance, cybersecurity requirements, and applicable external regulations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives leveraging data analytics, automation, and AI driven insights to enhance project delivery maturity and decision making.
- Own and evolve the PMO toolset, ensuring it supports end to end project lifecycle management, integrated reporting, governance workflows, and AI enabled forecasting or risk analytics where applicable.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, data, and product teams to ensure PMO governance aligns with technical architectures, development practices, and tooling ecosystems.
- Provide training, guidance, and coaching to project teams on PMO standards, tools, and best practices for managing technology and AI driven initiatives.
- Generate executive level insights and dashboards on project health, technical risks, dependencies, delivery performance, and value realization.
Key Skills
- PMO governance, quality assurance, and delivery oversight in technology centric organizations
- Strong understanding of IT, software development lifecycles (SDLC), engineering delivery, and digital transformation programs
- Solid knowledge of AI concepts, data driven decision making, automation, and emerging PMO technologies
- Hands on expertise with project and portfolio management tools (e.g., MS Project, Power Platform, Jira, Azure DevOps, Primavera, or custom PMO platforms)
- Process improvement and quality frameworks (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, Lean, Six Sigma)
- Compliance, audit readiness, risk management, and governance within large scale or regulated environments
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to bridge business, technical, and executive audiences
Experience & Qualifications
- 10-14 years of progressive experience in PMO governance, quality assurance, or portfolio delivery, with a strong focus on technology, IT, engineering, or digital programs
- International experience is preferred, with exposure to working across diverse geographies, cultures, and global delivery models
- Experience within IT, software, AI, engineering, or technology led organizations
- Education or professional background in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related technical field (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to govern and assure quality across complex, multi vendor, and highly technical project portfolio
