PMO Specialist

Job Overview:

The PMO Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the effective delivery of railway and civil infrastructure projects in the UAE. This position involves assisting in the implementation of standardized project management practices, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and facilitating the successful execution of projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project dashboards, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and preparing regular status reports for stakeholders.
  • Support the identification and escalation of project risks, issues, and deviations from the plan.

Process & Governance Support:

  • Aid in the implementation and adherence to PMO methodologies, standards, and best practices across projects.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of project management templates, tools, and documentation.

Financial & Resource Management Assistance:

  • Assist in monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and resource allocations.
  • Support the preparation of financial forecasts and variance analysis reports.

Stakeholder Communication & Coordination:

  • Facilitate communication between project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
  • Organize and document project meetings, ensuring timely follow-up on action items.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements within the PMO.
  • Support the collection and analysis of lessons learned to enhance future project delivery.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Project Management, or a related f ield.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in project coordination or PMO roles within the railway or civil construction sectors.
  • Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and standards is advantageous.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
