Job Title: Project Engineer – MEP

Department: Projects / Engineering

Job Purpose

To plan, coordinate, and supervise Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at project sites, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution

• Supervise and coordinate daily MEP site activities.
• Ensure work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
• Review MEP shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, and other trades for smooth execution.

2. Planning & Coordination

• Prepare work schedules and monitor progress against timelines.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical updates.
• Support project planning, resource allocation, and manpower deployment.

3. Quality Control

• Ensure all MEP works meet project quality standards and technical requirements.
• Conduct inspections and resolve technical issues on site.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and project specifications.

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to HSE policies and safe working practices.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure site safety compliance.
• Follow Qatar Civil Defense / Municipality / Kahramaa standards where applicable.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and material tracking.
• Assist in project documentation, RFIs, inspections, and handover documents.
• Monitor variations and assist in cost control.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and coordinate multiple trades
• Project planning and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and site management abilities
• Knowledge of local Qatar regulations (advantage)

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• 3–7 years experience in MEP project execution (construction or FM projects)
• GCC/Qatar experience preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD & MS Office (knowledge of Primavera is an advantage)

Working Conditions

• Site-based role
• May require extended working hours depending on project deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR7,000.00 - QAR8,500.00 per month
