Police Lieutenant

Essential job functions and requirements include:

• Works assigned shift (rotating) performing security patrols, traffic control, investigations, and first aid at accidents, and detection, investigation and arrest of persons involved in criminal activities or misconduct.
• Ensures the enforcement of all applicable codes, ordinances, laws and regulations in order to protect life and property, prevent crime, and promote security.
• Monitor and supervises the duties and performance of Sergeants and officers of their assigned division and support staff.
• One year of experience as a Police Sergeant.
• Class 1 Certified Police officer through the SC Criminal Justice Academy.
• Must be of good character and sound judgement.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and a U. S. Citizen.
• A 12 hour rotating work schedule is required.
• Must have favorable credit report.
• Must be able to clear physical medical exam and psychological exam.
