Full-Time Police Officer Position

Base Wages: Hourly $31.54-$39.78 [$68,883.36-$86,879.52]

12 hours shifts- 84-hour pay periods

Comprehensive Benefit Package: Health, Life, Dental and Vision Insurance on a cost sharing plan.

MERS Defined Contribution with a 2% Township Contribution; up to 10% match.

Optional 457 plan also available.

AT TIME OF APPOINTMENT THE FOLLOWING MUST HAVE BEEN COMPLETED:

• Preferred associate’s degree in any major, preferably in Criminal Justice or related field.
• Be a licensed police officer in the State of Michigan or be able to be licensed in the State of Michigan with the possibility of being sponsored in a selected police academy by MTPD.

Additional Requirements:

• No felony arrest or convictions.
• Pass physical, physiological and drug screen.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license with good driving history.
• Pass a background investigation.
