Your work directly supports officers in the field, assists citizens during critical moments, and ensures records and reports are handled with precision and confidentiality.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in public safety, criminal justice, emergency services, or long-term municipal careers.What You’ll DoIn this role, you will: Assist the public and department personnel in person and over the phonePrepare, review, and process police reports and official documentationManage, maintain, and organize sensitive police records and filesUtilize department databases and computer systems for data entry, information retrieval, and trackingEnsure the accuracy and confidentiality of criminal justice and departmental informationProvide professional customer service during both routine and high-pressure situationsThis position is critical to operations and there are three shifts (shift preference determined by seniority.) These shifts include the following: Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday: 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. ($1.00/hr shift differential)3rd Shift: 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. ($1.50/hr shift differential)There are no exceptions or guarantees made regarding shift assignment. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Experience, Education, and TrainingRequires a minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer-oriented atmosphere or in a high-volume customer call center ORPossession of 30 semester credit hours from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Office Systems, Business Administration or related area;ORAny combination of education and experience that would provide the incumbent with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.Licensing/CertificationAbility to obtain and maintain state certification as a MULES terminal operator as required by departmental assignment.Ability to obtain and maintain Notary certification with the state of Missouri as required by department assignment.Incumbent must possess a valid Driver's License in order to operate a vehicle for the purpose of completing job duties depending on assignment.Miscellaneous RequirementsMust be able to successfully complete an intense security background investigation including a credit check; must possess no felony convictions, no misdemeanors, arrests, or other convictions that would prevent the ability to be MULES certified or access the CJIs database; must be able to work any assigned shift with varying days off.
