Polysomnographer

Location: Medford, OR

Work Model: Onsite

Shift: Full-Time / Night Shift

The Polysomnographer performs routine and advanced sleep diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions for patients undergoing sleep studies.

The role involves conducting polysomnographic testing , analyzing diagnostic data, supporting treatment plans, and maintaining departmental documentation and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex polysomnographic studies, including MSLT and MWT testing
  • Collect, analyze, and compile sleep study diagnostic data
  • Apply appropriate therapeutic modalities based on patient condition
  • Score sleep studies and prepare diagnostic reports
  • Maintain electronic and paper patient records
  • Schedule patient sleep studies and coordinate testing logistics
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Troubleshoot and maintain sleep lab equipment and EMU devices
  • Assist with database management and departmental documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Education that meets certification/licensure requirements
  • Oregon Polysomnographic Technologist License (upon hire) OR
  • Oregon Polysomnographic Technologist / Respiratory Therapist License

AND one of the following:

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
  • Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists

Additional Requirement: BLS Certification - American Heart Association

Preferred Experience

  • Experience performing sleep diagnostic procedures in clinical sleep labs
  • Knowledge of sleep disorder diagnostic protocols
  • Experience with sleep study scoring and interpretation
