What You’ll Do:

The Pool Bar Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment. This position enhances the overall guest experience by combining attentive poolside hospitality with proactive facility oversight.

Key Responsibilities – Seasonal Pool Bar Attendant Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, courteous poolside and bar service
  • Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitor responsible alcohol consumption and follow all local laws
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service stations, and seating areas
  • Replenish bar inventory, garnishes, and supplies at bartender’s request
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Set up and arrange lounge chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas prior to pool opening
  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory of pool supplies such as towels, sunscreen, and pool toys.
  • Distribute and collect towels from designated area; monitor towel inventory.
  • Ensure pool deck, furniture, and surrounding areas remain clean and free of debris
  • Conduct routine inspections of pool area for safety hazards
  • Enforce pool rules in a professional and courteous manner
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
  • Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment
  • Communicate maintenance issues promptly to Engineering
  • Assist guests with seating, cabana reservations, and general pool inquiries
  • Maintain restroom and changing area cleanliness (if applicable)
  • Support special events or activations held in the pool area

Water Quality & Maintenance

  • Test and record pool water chemistry levels (pH, chlorine/bromine, alkalinity) at designated intervals
  • Maintain proper documentation logs in accordance with local health department and brand standards
  • Skim pool surface regularly to remove debris
  • Conduct routine visual inspections for clarity and cleanliness
  • Report mechanical issues, filtration concerns, or unsafe conditions promptly to Engineering

Additional Responsibilities:

Seasonal Pool Attendants will also be responsible for additional responsibilities such as assisting with the Food & Beverage operations, organizing poolside activities for guests, or assisting with special events or parties held at the pool.

The hourly rate for this position is $14.75 +TIPS. This position is eligible to earn overtime, shift differentials and premium pay under certain circumstances, tips, commissions, service charges, or incentive awards.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Previous Food & Beverage or hospitality experience preferred
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work AM or PM shifts, holidays and weekends.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Strong guest service and communication skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
