Education and Experience Requirements:
Scope and General Purpose of Job:
·To ensure the pool area is kept clean and tidy at all times and to supervise the operation to prevent any accidents. To act upon any medical needs of guests within the Recreation area. For maintaining the correct the PH levels of the pool water.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·Makes sure the swimming pool and surrounding areas of the health club is clean and is in a working condition, maintained safely
·To assist anybody who is in difficulty in and around the pool area, assisting with First Aid where needed.
·To make sure no fighting occurs in the swimming pool.
·To enforce all indoor pool safety rules, policies and regulations
·To constantly monitor people’s actions and correct their behaviour if they are causing danger to others.
·To constantly monitor swimming pool activity.
·To regularly check the temperature of the pool.
·Ensures the pool deck is swept and watered down and that all furniture is in correct place.
·To clear all dirty towels and hand them to reception.
·To conduct swimming lessons if required.
·Any lost and found item to make sure it is noted in the logbook and handed over to Housekeeping Lost and Found Department.
·To report any guest’s feedback, comments or complaints to your Department Head immediately
·To give help to your Associates and Supervisor when needed.
·To report for work on time in the correct uniform.
·To attend all briefing and meetings when required.
·To know the rules and regulations of the club and how to deal with guest applications on memberships.
·To observe high standards of personal hygiene.
·To be flexible in assisting around different areas of the hotel.
·To have all knowledge of club facilities and prices
·To assist anybody who is in any difficulty in and around the pool area.
·To regularly check the temperature of the pool and report to the superiors.
Customer Service
·Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards to include:-
·Being attentive to guests
·Accurately and promptly; understanding, anticipating and fulfilling guest requests
·Maintain a high level of knowledge which will enhance the guest experience
·Demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations
·Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
·Appreciate the dynamic nature of the hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers by ensuring good inter-departmental relations.
·Be able to promote the hotel products and services.
·Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about Cristal Hotel, Abu Dhabi.
·Ensure known repeat guests, and other VIP’s receive special attention
·To display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.
Health & Safety
·Operate equipment using procedures learnt during training to company standards.
·To report any equipment failures or problems to the Maintenance Department.
·Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Environment, Occupational, Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety
·To be vigilant in the workplace and report any signs of fire related issues
·Familiarise yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
·Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of your line manager.
·To attend all mandatory training sessions selected by the Hotels Training Department.
