Description: The Park Ridge Park District has openings for Seasonal Pool Maintenance staff to provide maintenance services for the park district’s pools. Responsibilities will include performing a variety of general maintenance including testing water chemistry, vacuuming the pool, cleaning the deck and locker rooms, and other maintenance duties as directed. Duties involve contact with the general public and Park District staff. A pleasant demeanor and good judgment must be exercised in dealing with a broad variety of assignments.
Qualifications: No previous experience is necessary. Must have the ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License in order to drive District vehicles. Must have a good understanding of the English language and be able to communicate well with patrons and staff. Selected candidate needs to be a minimum of 18 years of age in order to operate power equipment and have the ability to regularly lift objects up to 25 pounds. Due to the lifting requirement, selected individuals will be required to take a post-offer back assessment/lift test.
Availability: We are seeking applicants to work 5 days a week, Monday through Sunday, approximately 40 hours per week beginning May 11th through the end of August. Shifts will include early morning hours and will vary based on weather, day of week, time of day and availability.
